These are just a few of the people and places that I believe are doing things right.
Stay Informed...
Imerman Angels 1-on-1 Cancer Support has the best program for pairing you up with a cancer survivor. They help give you insight into what you're going through and provide a great support system.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will give you all the good and proper info on Lymphoma. Do NOT go to webMD, it will just tell you you're dying. Make sure you are using viable resources!
The Double Hit Lymphoma Foundation was developed by a cancer survivor I encountered at NMPG. Wonderful people sharing good knowledge.
Cycle for Survival Charities is one of my favorite charity events to participate in. It raises funds for research and awareness for rare causes. If you're interested in joining my team for the next event, drop me an email.
Stay Strong...
Teaching is one of my favorite things in life. I started as a dancer and got tossed into the fitness world. Come sweat with me, It'll be fun I swear!
- Let me yell at you (I mean encourage you), on a mic, in TORCH and Cycle at Studio Three
- If you've got a membership, catch me on the bike at East Bank Club
The good people at Hardpressed helped keep me strong through chemo and after. They are a group of passionate trainers that love their job. Please go check them out!
Stay Healthy...
Vital Proteins has a great selection of healthy proteins and collagens to add into your protein shakes and almost any old recipe. Great for your skin, nails and body.
Ideal Fit has the best women's protein powder out there. It's not chalkie, blends with anything and only has 80 calories per serving. I'm a big fan.
You may know Kate Lemere from Barry's Bootcamp. She's a good human and also has a great online resource called The Four Percent for health and fitness tidbits. I use her workouts when I'm traveling and can't find a gym.
Stay Fresh AF...
Scratch Goods has all of my favorite self care and pampering products. All of their masks, cremes, lotions, soaps etc are all natural and won't do you any harm. Plus, they have a mask bar. It's a no-brainer.
Who doesn't feel better with a healthy glow?! I have two lovely ladies I look to for keeping me looking sunkissed. Sara at TOD will come to you which makes your tanning as effortless as possible. The other is Rae at Art & Science in the West Loop. She does spRAEtans, brows, wax, lash curling etc...
